Grrrr
Wow. I am dumbfounded. If they know whose mother it was, I’d think that be a big black mark for the kid.
The parent who called campus police should’ve told the tour guide first…
i read this earlier today, and just wanted to cry. So tired of people calling the police because of someone “different” existing near them.
What rock do these people crawl out from under? She should be publicly shamed the way she shamed them.
I’m sure there will be those who defend her on the “you can’t be too careful these days” and :what if they were school shooters" grounds.
Just horrible. I feel so bad for the two boys.

When she called, what did she say they did? Just “making me nervous” should not bring out the police. One would think they would say “ma’am if they actually do anything suspicious call us. Otherwise, MYOB”.
What is even a little suspicious about two high school aged kids joining a college tour group? The mother who called the police was racist but also dumb.
The tour guide is embarrassed she didn’t know what was going on, but I don’t see that she can be blamed.
I honestly hope that CSU knows the family that called the police and will not offer admission to their kid.
According to the boys’ mother, the cop told the boys they should learn to speak up for themselves. That cop’s time would’’ve been better spent telling the racist mother to stop racially profiling innocent people.
I’m so tired of people calling the cops on POC for nothing more than existing, or assuming the worst. I read three stories today that ticked me off.

Not all apples fall close to the tree. Some roll far away. I don’t see anything about the kid being involved in the call. Should we be punished for our parents’ behavior?
Does not seem appropriate to punish her kid for what she did. Although, since Colorado State does consider legacy in admissions (according to https://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg02_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=747 ), it may not be surprising if it did use the parent’s actions against the kid.
The kid is probably too stupid to get into CSU. Certainly the parent was.
Wow! I like quiet kids. Being too quiet? Crazy. But the parent’s actions should not affect the kid’s admission.
