How does AP scores effect my overall GPA

I got a 4 on both my AP lit and lang tests in high school, I was wondering how that transfers over to my over all GPA when I apply to nursing schools at Cal States. I heard it counts as a "C" in English, is that true?

    As far as I'm aware, AP scores do not affect your GPA at all. If the AP scores aren't high enough, you might not get credit/ placement for them in college, but that's all.
