Wishbone breaks equally

I thought I would put this up for you all to ponder as entertainment.

Tonight, I saw the wishbone from the thanksgiving turkey waiting to finally grant a wish. So, I brought it over to my daughter and offered her that chance to break it and maybe make her wish come true.

Anyhow, we both pulled fairly and finally the moment came when it broke. Both sides broke off and the middle piece fell to the ground. I have never seen anything like it. D's and my piece are basically identical.

So, what happens to the wish?
