<p>I just talked to a lovely woman in the University of Kentucky academic scholarships office. The Patterson Scholarship (National Merit) DOES fully cover OOS tuition (they only put the instate tuition specific $$ amount in the description to avoid confusion for instate students.) Fees are additional but they average $533/semester. </p>
<p>So: Four-year renewable award covers the cost of tuition (both instate and out of state,) room and board, $1,000 yearly stipend, an iPad2®, and $2,000 for a Summer Education Abroad program.</p>
<p>The additional $2000 UK National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarship is broken up over 4 years, so that’s an another $500 a year.</p>
<p>They are in the process of building a new Honors Living/Learning community with an expected completion date of Spring 2013 and fully expect to move in new students in Fall of 2013.</p>
