When do they typically release EA2 (ie OOS) decisions? Says TBD on the website but wondering what they usually do.
The last two years it’s been the last Saturday of January.

I just saw a tweet that they are releasing EA1 decisions Dec 8th…would be nice if EA2 would happen in December also!

My daughter received an email from GT admissions yesterday. EA1 release is 8 December @ 7pm/est.

Seems unlikely given the January 2 self-reported test scores deadline.

Won’t happen. The EA 1-2 split is recent (2021) and they did it to separate out the in state applicants from out of state due to the large increase in OOS apps. If they were to announce EA2 decisions in December, just 2 weeks after EA1, they would have to process them alongside the in-state applicants - therefore defeating the purpose of breaking up EA into two phases.

My son just got accepted EA1! He will study CE. Has a 4.3 weighted gpa (at a very tough stem school) with 2 years of Gatech math (so far all A’s) and a dozen APs with all 5’s so far. Some computer related ECs and science awards but nothing extra fancy. He has been coding since 9 and has worked on some commercial games. 1590 SAT, taken once in sophomore year.
