Chances?

Hi,

I’m a HS senior from Winston Churchill HS in MD

GPA: 3.92 weighted (not sure unweighted but I think its around 3.7)
SAT’s: 1870
SAT II: 690 Math I
AP’s (so far): AP Comparative Government - 4; Currently taking AP Pysch and AP Human Geo
Vice-President of Model UN Club
- Honorable Mention at North American Invitational Model United Nations Conference
3 Year JV Runner XC/Track
1 Year of Competitive Cycling
Lived Abroad for 6 years (1996-2002)

Probable Major: political science

Gotten into AmericanU, UVM, Northeastern, UMass so far but Bucknell is like on the top of my list.

So chances?

I also forgot to mention that I’ve had excellent grades in my junior and senior years; averageing above a 4.0 weighted and getting straight A’s twice. Never gotten any C’s throughout HS.
I focus primarily in social sciences and politics, not very good at sciences.

I would say it’d be somewhat of a middle-match. it’s certainly attainable, as that GPA is great; you definitely err towards the side of acceptance over rejection (in my humble opinion), but those SAT’s will somewhat bring you down. Your extracurriculars are good, and can only help you.

how do you know about your american u acceptance? i thought only ED heard so far…

I got an email from American yesterday saying I’d been admitted. Talked with some other friends that applied there and they had recieved emails too. I guess they are starting to send them out right about now
