Hi everyone! Okay, I'm thinking about majoring in linguistics in Calvin College. But before I go there I just wanted to get some information on it from those that went there or know someone who did.
So, I was wondering if the courses were challenging or not and the general ambience of the college (are people more reserved/is it nice and quiet/the weather). I also want to know about the town near it. My parents don't like that Calvin is a little far from home and they are worrying for my safety, but from what I've read there haven't been any major conflicts there, right?
I heard and read a lot of of positive reviews and it seems as if it is a true Christian college! But what are your takes on it?
**Oh and I read a review that most of the minorities were grouped in dorms together?? Is that true? I'm a minority and I have no problem to be grouped with the others but isn't that a little weird? I mean, aren't they trying to be more diverse??**
