What Constitutes an 'Investment?'

FabioLorenFabioLoren Registered User Posts: 22 New Member
I am currently filling out some financial information for the scholarship section of the Apply Texas application for University of Texas at Austin.

This question popped up:

"What is the net value of your parents' (or guardians') other investments?"

The main question I am wondering is if investments refers to only stocks/bonds or total assets? Specifically speaking, would a house and a car count as investments?
