Does Hogwarts University take the common app?

I am currently a senior at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Does my house (Ravenclaw) affect my admission chances? I received "A"s in Herbology, Charms, and Transfiguration. I’m thinking of letting Prof. Spout and Prof. McGonagall write my rec letters. I am a member of the varsity Quidditch team. And I passed my standardized OWL test.
Anyway does Hogwarts University accept the common app?

Do you have any safety schools? Unless you have "O"s on all of your NEWTs, you don’t stand much of a shot at HU. Have you looked into Pigfarts?

Hogwarts seems like a reach for you. Perhaps you should try Durmstrang. I hope you’re ready for some competition on that Quidditch field, because Viktor Krum is the Seeker for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team.

One does not apply to Hogwarts; if they want to accept you, they will contact you.

are you a recruited athlete in Quidditch? If not, that may hurt your chances

Do you have a scar on your forehead? If so, you could write that down in the supplement. I’ve heard people with scars on their foreheads have quite the adventure at HU.

As for your question, admission through HU is highly selective and requires the utmost aptitude, if not attitude and stats, for wizardry and witchcraft. I’m afraid the common application might not be enough. This predicament calls upon a whole separate ball game in which you have to conjure up your own application and fill it without any muggle influence or disturbance, solely basing it on your own magic, artistry, and clout. I bid you luck!

They’ll accept the Common App in exchange for You-Know-Who’s head.

The Common Application of Wizarding Abilities? (known to many as the common app)
I believe so, though they require a supplement. Also, taking NEWTs in the classes related to your wanted major help a lot.

i dont think so. i couldn’t find it on www.commonapp.org. dont worry about looking because i checked already.

Harry Potter newb… Rowling specifically said that the Harry Potter world does not have institutions of higher education beyond Hogwarts.

only muggles use the common app

If you’re particularly pretty, you could try Beauxbatons. I hear they’re into pageant winners. Although if you’re a guy, you could be a servant there - maybe sit in the way back of some classes.

Gryffon5147 gets a big fat angry red howler for not playing the game. :)

I suggest you interview with the headmaster to improve your chances. Being a Ravenclaw COULD help, but you’ll be compared to your classmates, so you had better hope you were at the top of your house.

How’d you do in potions? You didn’t say, but it’s best if its a great grade, since you did so well in Herbology that might help.

Knowing your Quidditch position might help too, if you’re something the HU team really needs.

HU doesn’t prefer the common app. They’d like to see something original. Good luck with that one!

hahhahahaha is this thread a joke???

No Jasonn, it’s dead serious.

Oh, you must be a muggle. Yes, yes. This thread is totally a joke. No such thing as magic or Hogwarts University, honestly! The notion of this…

secretly dispatches a letter to the Ministry of Magic informing them of muggle breach

Hahaha, lawl.

Are both of your parents wizards? I heard having legacy there helps as well. If you’re a muggle, I with you luck. The muggle acceptance rate is incredibly low.

I heard there’s a boggart at the interview. Just fyi.
Oh, and don’t freak if Fawkes spontaneously combusts. He does that.
