    Did anyone get notification that they were denied to the Chancellor's Scholarship? I didn't so I'm still hoping I have a chance!

    Usually they release CV first week of March, so good chance it's tomorrow- in the past they have used email and sent denials, not just offers. Good luck everyone!

    Last year the CV award notifications were emailed on Friday, March 8th, at around 5:00pm Central time (at least that is when my kid received her email). They also emailed denials. Be sure to check your SPAM folders as that is where some scholarship notifications were ending up.

    Imagine never knowing that you won a CV scholarship to Vanderbilt....ooof!

    Guys please chance me for Cornelius Vanderbilt scholarship

    1340 SAT, full IB diploma candidate. Lots Of Extracurriculars activities, service and leadership activities.
    Relatively good CV application essay, same for common app essays

    Good recommendations

    I have no statistics or insider information here, but those SAT scores seem on the low side to me. If your grades are top-notch with a rigorous course load, then that could make up for it. However, I'm not sure how much the CV looks at grades/scores vs. the content of the essays, service, and leadership, so who knows.
