internship recs.

So, as a stem major that's looking into research internships, I see that most require at least one recommendation or more. Besides professors, who else would be a good person to ask? and how well would you need to know them? like a professor whose class you got an A even if you didn't know them super well? also, if there's multiple things that you needed recommendations for, like grad school and internship apps, could you ask the same people for all of the recommendations and not just for one thing or would that be asking too much? how do other people mostly get/distribute their recommendations?
