Stealing this from @Highlander96 !

I do not see a section for CSU San Marcos. My S20 has applied so I want to open a thread for others to discuss their application status for those applying as new freshman or transfers for Fall 2020. Once admission decisions start being released for San Marcos, it would be great for people to share in this format:

    My daughter was notified of acceptance into CSUSM today by email.

    Non-local (Sacramento area)
    1200 SAT
    3.6 weighted GPA
    Pre-Business

    This is her third acceptance after Ole Miss and Sac State. Still waiting on SDSU, Cal Poly SLO, Long Beach, and CSUMB.

    My DS was accepted yesterday. Currently accepted at CSUMB, CSUDH, CSUCI as well.

    I was rejected for nursing yesterday but accepted today for Biochemistry both via email

    Admitted
    SAT: 1290 (RW620/M670)
    ACT: 27
    GPA: 2.95(UW)/3.2(W)
    EI: 3850ish

    Also applied: SJSU, SFSU, CSUN, CSULB, CSUF, SDSU. UO
    Not entirely surprised that I was accepted for my alternate but albeit I am pleased. Solid match school for me but definitely hoping to hear some good news from my top choices (SDSU, UO, CSULB)

    What is the general time table to hear back from csusm? I'm surprised so many have gotten acceptances already but maybe it's different for freshman vs transfer?

    My dd applied as a junior transfer for the AMD degree ( art media design) and has a 4.0 from MiraCosta so we are local. Haven't heard anything yet.

    Her friend who applied as a transfer for environmental studies and has a 2.9 gpa got his acceptance 1/10.

    @crossman: I think the decision timeline for both Freshmen and Transfers is dependent upon local vs. non-local and major. My niece, a prospective Freshman non-local has not gotten a decision however several of her classmates have been accepted. Only difference is that she has applied to an impacted major while her classmates did not.

    All decisions should be completed by April.

    Update: Happy to say my niece has been accepted to San Marcos as a Pre-Kinesiology major.

    Non-local but in Southern California
    SAT: 1160 superscore
    CSU GPA: 4.0

    Still waiting as well. I checked prior years and people were still getting decisions in late April. I really hope it's not that long.
