"The coronavirus (COVID-19) was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, after infiltrating at least 114 countries and killing more than 4,000 people. The disease has caused governments to implement strict quarantine rules, travel bans, and more, which is starting to affect other aspects of people’s lives, including their higher education options.
Students across the world are in limbo after both the College Board (the organization that gives the SAT) and ACT canceled testing dates in February and March. According to the College Board website, the March 14 testing date has been canceled in areas affected by the coronavirus, due to travel restrictions and school closures. More than fifteen countries have been impacted, including China, Greece, Italy, Japan, Qatar, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.
The College Board states that more test sites could continue to close, depending on how the situation develops. The College Boarding is refunding all fees or allowing international students to change their testing dates to one of the upcoming dates (May 2 or August 29)." ...
