Divoh = Diversity Open House, not a summer program, it was 3 days/2 nights.

i was accepted to divoh but i picked the swarthmore discovery weekend over divoh. do you think that hurt my chances for amherst RD?

I got an EW but I didn't go to (nor was I invited to) DivOH.
Aargh...so happy; I really thought I wasn't going to get one.

Does anyone know roughly what the ratio of Early Acceptances to RD Admits is?

For the class of '11:
1041 students were accepted RD (1175 total minus 134 ED)
And there are about 200 early writes. 200/1041 = about 19%.

I got the statistics from this.

They accepted 140 ed this year. That's 1/3 of the class, they deliberately cap it at that.

That means my chance of acceptance is astronomically small. ( I know that this phrase sucks but couldnt find a better one right now)

1/3 of the class is not the same as 1/3 of total acceptances, though.

I think they have been send them out for a while now. people have being saying that they got in "early" since early feb

i was gone since last week and the early write letter was waiting for me when i got home. it came on wednesday, and i live in the midatlantic region if that helps.

congrats to everyone else! i also went to the october DIVOH. amherst is probably my first choice after brown as of now.
