How to change your social circle after college?

I graduated undergrad a few months ago, and will be taking some time off to work before applying to grad school. I went to college out of state, so there aren't many familiar faces around my area. How can I make new friends after college to go to fun places when I'm not working?

Usually, I suggest looking into what co-ed sports are offered by the local parks & recreation dept. If they aren't offering team sports they may be offering other activities like yoga. Also look to see if there is any young professionals group in the area. Or find a good volunteer organization that interests you.
