No engineering major is more or less helpful than any other for taking the LSAT. Ditto for gaining admission to law school (except to the extent that easier engineering departments–ones with more generous GPA curves and/or less intelligent competition–are better for your GPA).

For patent law, EE is currently the best engineering degree to have. However, I would not recommend using the value of a degree for patent law as the basis for choosing a college major…(though if you love EE, more power to you–no pun intended).

Is biomedical or computer engineerin any good for patent law. And how different is patent law than entertainment law, what type of major is good for entertainment law.

I appreciate all the help.

I do not recommend anyone considering patent law or any other field of law, or law school in general, when choosing a major for college. You are looking 7-8 years ahead, which is too far at this time. You might not like engineering in the end, or you may decide to go into a totally different field when you have had exposure to more subjects, which will happen in college.

First try to choose a major that you will do well in and that you will like. See my pinned thread at the top of this board.
