<p>@ CalBearGuy: I was forced to abandon Team SOTS when I was admitted for spring. Alas, now I am faced with quite the conundrum. However, there’s no need to rain on UCLA’s parade. Let’s be real, UCLA is a fantastic school and in no way is it deficient to Cal. Perhaps by…21 - 24 in the USNWR it is, but that is hardly substantial. </p>
<p>Cal is a fantastic school - my dream school, but portraying it as the superior to UCLA is practically ignorance. We all know that UCLA has incredible research (2 research centers), a med school, and an environment that is starkly different from UCB’s. </p>
<p>Arguing the subjective points like weather preference is seriously illogical and pointless. Let’s try to be modest here. If you prefer Cal - cool, but let’s avoid discouraging our fellow CC-ers that love UCLA and Cal (such as myself). </p>
<p>Being open-minded, accepting, and compassionate to others is fundamental to society - something that I have undoubtedly learned throughout my years exploring Cal.</p>
