hmmm…are these books just for orientation (by the titles they sound like it, but i’m just making sure)? tisch has to read artistic citizenship which was edited by the dean of tisch, but otherwise i’ve been told it’s for the writing the essay classes all tisch students must take, not for orientation.

this may be irrelevant, i’m just hoping i didnt overlook anything…

all tisch kids have to read is that essay - no worries!

there’s an essay??? are you referring to artistic citizenship which is a compilation of essays, or an entirely different one??

no, every school has their own assigned reading and The Namesake was assigned to Steinhardt (but apparently Stern as well??) and Washington Square by Henry James (which i realllly want to read just for fun) was to CAS. But anyways, NYU is just mentioned a lot in The Namesake

okay, thanks :)

i just meant that we only HAVE to read the one essay in that book that has to do with the dean or whatever (i dont know what exactly cuz i havent read it yet lol)

Oh, I thought we had to read the whole thing…

The dean edited the whole thing, so I don’t know which essay you’re talking about, unless she wrote one of them herself or regarding Tisch. I don’t know…I haven’t read it either, haha.
