18 Days......

In my final year of school I had an official attendance of something like 30%. But that’s mostly just because to count as present you had to be there for registration in the morning and afternoon. And if I had no lessons in the morning or afternoon I wouldn’t turn up for registration (no point going in for 5 minutes then going home again). Or sometimes I would just not go for registration and get an extra half an hour in bed. I turned up for my actual lessons though. Mostly.

^ Same here

After lunch I have 2 classes that both give you honors credit, but what you do for the class is you intern with a professional.

Some people do their thing at the hospital, maybe an engineering firm.

But whats nice is you just get to leave school during those classes, but every week you need to turn in a log saying you did 5 hours worth of internship. (Even though you are gone form school for 10)

Lucky ducks. I pull a full schedule (7 classes, 5 of them AP) everyday, plus about 5 full-time extracurriculars. :)

^ Same.
10char

^ and what makes it more miserable is the fact that my first period teacher is a stickler about being on time and is probably itching to write me a “loss of credit” letter (15 lates = Loss of Credit). sigh

15 lates!?!?! We get 3 strikes and we’re out. We call it N-ing out (N=No credit)

You’ve got it lenient wherever you go!

^ I get a detention after 3 tardies (which, at my school, is actually legit. 2 hours before school, sitting straight up, staring straight ahead, no dozing off, no speaking of any kind lol), but you have to get like 5 absences or like 10 tardies to get in any real trouble.
:/

Wait I misspoke earlier, 3 tardies=1 skip so essentially 9 tardies=N or 3 skips=N

wow, I guess my school is pretty lenient then…
15 excused absences, 15 tardies, or 3 unexcused absences only just puts you on credit review. After that, they just keep an eye on you and if you don’t miss school excessively you’ll be alright.

Whenever I see the title of this thread, it reminds me of The Ring:
“Seven…Dayssss…” lol

^ lol you said that and for some reason I thought of Lord of the Rings and Gollum…

ahem so yeah, I was only absent once my entire high school career, and that was because I was going to be 20 minutes late for a first-period test and didn’t feel like dealing with it… :)

If by a miracle I do get in I have been thinking about how I could attend Bulldog Days and still be exempt, to do so I would have to leave on a plan at like 3 AM to get to New Haven at around 8 AM then get to campus for the first day of activites.
Gosh I LOVE flying on airplanes, not going to lying one of the many reasons I am really want to go to Yale is because I would be able to fly in a plane.

Two weeks from today. STILL SO LONG.

OMG! Two weeks! TTOOOOOOOO WEAAAAX

Nope in reality two weeks is nothing. I mean the wait is probably prolonged by the fact that we are on this forum, but if we had some major time commitment it would probably not seem that long.

Seriously. I’m helping to plan this huge event at my school that takes place on the 29th, and time - just to spite me - is flying by so I have less time to finish things that need to be done. But I’m sure the 2 days after that will be… exciting? >.>

^ I wish I had something like that to do :stuck_out_tongue: my life seems to have quited down at the worst moment lol

I have something to do…but i wont have anything to do from Saturday
and that prospect after reading this thread is scary :/

I wish I could switch places with you! This whole month has been tremendously hectic for me, and really I’d rather be in a position where I have nothing to do but sit around and read. -_-

^ Same!
