When I am reading these posts about young women wearing watches, my mind turns to my 27 year old daughter. About 5 years ago, she was selected by a well known watch brand as a rising star for a special ad campaign of theirs where there was a big event giving her the award, a photo shoot, and she was given a diamond watch worth about $3000. She never wears it. She wears a $35 leather band watch from American Apparel. 
@soozievt, maybe D will be gifting you that diamond watch. :x
@HImom…honestly, she NEVER wears it (she obviously wore it for the event and for the photos!). It really belongs to her, but yeah, I would like to wear it. I haven’t ever said anything though. She is not big on jewelry generally speaking.
You can tell her how cool that she was chosen and how lovely the watch is. Maybe she’ll let you “borrow” it.
This was about five years ago. Actually, when she was contacted that she was chosen for this, she thought it was junk mail and ignored it. The company had to find and contact her agent and she found it out the whole thing was real. It was cool at the time. I really don’t think she has worn the watch since then. Maybe I’ll ask her about it some time.
