<p>Could he have framed this event by saying “The assault was one of a string of episodes that have brought the academy bruising exposure in recent years. While scores of academy graduates serve this country with distinction and include some who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this great country, events such as this remind us that even our best and brightest can make mistakes”.
