2 nights in Paris! Recommendations please!

“Just got moved to Marriott Renaissance Arc de Triomphe because we had three to a room.”

You are going to love it! This is where we stayed in 2012. Very nice hotel and just a ahort walk to the other Marriott. We even walked from there to the Eiffel Tower - it is a long, but very lovely walk. Heck, we even walked to here:

[Tour Montparnasse 56 - Home](Montparnasse Tower Panoramic Observation Deck)

Do not skip the intro, it demonstrates what you will see from the top of the tower. If you want to see Paris from a bird’s flight height, Tour Montparnasse is the place!

I haven’t read the whole thread, but the Montmartre neighborhood is beautiful (hilly!). Have a great trip.

Trying to stay up late so I sleep well on the flight tomorrow night. Yeah…don’t think it will happen! ;)

NM, here is my final advice for Paris: Eat everything that looks good. Stop in every pastry shop you can. Eat as many crepes (only fresh cooked ones) as you can manage in the limited time you have. You are going to walk off every calorie, so enjoy!!!

Hi All! Back from London and Paris. I had a wonderful time and was thankful for all of the advice! Our hotels were perfectly located and extremely nice! (Marriott County Hall in London and Marriott/Renaissance Arc de Triomphe in Paris) My favorite thing in London was the Key Ceremony at the closing of the Tower of London. In Paris I loved sipping wine in the park and watching the glowing and sparkling Eiffel Tower at night. Truly beautiful. Did most of the things on my list but I want to return and have more time at each place.

In Paris we saw:
Montmartre
Sacre-Coeur
Notre Dame
Eiffel Tower
Many bistros
Arc de Triomphe
Champs-Elysees
Musee D’Orsay
Love lock bridge
The outside of the Louvre
Hop on/Hop off bus tour of the city

We barely scratched the surface but it was a good overview for when I return with my family. Thanks again!

No bakeries? :)

Went to Laduree for macarons but they weren’t to my liking. Did like the croissants and wine, though! ;)
