Yes, because test scores are the number one factor in measuring intelligence. :|

I got a 2 in Chemistry but sadly it seems this year was against me. My US teacher was new but picked up the cirriculum from my old teacher so I was given a month of work to do just about every 2 weeks and she began to give me AP gov work at the end because she thought it was for US. This along with my Chemistry teacher’s husband dying (Leaving us with a long term sub) gave me a 2.

I got a 2 in English Lit, but English has never been my strongest subject…Did a lot of people really bomb US Gov? I’m thinking of self studying it, but now I’m having second thoughts.

I got a two in Environmental. The teacher didn’t bother teaching most of the time. I did well in the class, put effort in, but only got through probably half of the textbook… I didn’t bother studying much before the exam. It being the first exam of the year probably didn’t do me much good… I still did better than on chemistry last year, which I got a one on.

It’s funny how many people make excuses for their low scores.

“Oh, I had, like, a bad teacher…and then my dog ate my study guide…and also I stayed up 2 nights in a row cramming so I was super tired and on top of that I had swine flu…”

I didn’t get a 2 on any AP’s, but I did get a 550 on one of my subject tests (World History, and on the actual AP I got a 3). I wish I could blame my score on an abusive stepmother or something, but in the end I was the one who took the test.

@aerobug Although having your study guide eaten is definitely a lame excuse, I feel that having a bad teacher does affect the student. In the end, it is up to the student to prepare for the exam, but having a terrible teacher doesn’t help. I had an AP Bio teacher who barely taught us anything because he was too busy defending himself from know-it-all students. By the time AP tests came around, I felt like I was going to flunk the bio one. (I’m thankful I even passed!) I know I could’ve studied on my own during the year, but I grew to dislike biology and had no motivation. Im not saying that having a bad teacher should be an excuse for receiving a poor grade, but it definitely plays a factor in a student’s performance and mindset.

I got a 2 in World History as a freshman. I could be blamed partially because, since it was my first AP, I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t buy a review book or anything. Then again, why would you give World History to 9th graders? Thank God they changed it this year.

Not putting excuses but my teacher was bad too. Bad, like bad. Her class wasn’t even rigorous to me, and even though that seemed fine throughout the year, the consequence was a 2 in my first AP Exam

But I’m a Sophomore now and I recovered and LEARNED.

If you got a 2 blame yourself. Bad teacher? Wait til college- my brother says some are horrible (and he goes to a top ten) way worse than any you have had. Ultimately blame yourself if you sucked and congrat yourself if you nailed it.

Tired of people complaining about everyone but themselves.

Well stated Aerobug! Ultimately the buck stops with the student! That being said I have never seen such a disparity of practice SAT2 scores AND AP Scores from
The real thing which leads me to also have to blame, rip off " in it only for the money tutors, PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME HOW GOOD MY CHILDREN ARE RATHER TELL ME HOW AND WHERE THEY LACK! it’s nice to hear progress but compliments only pave the road to disaster!!

Unless everyone in your class failed the test, I do not believe you can blame your teacher for scoring low on a test you took.

^people always blame their teachers. Although they do help at times, your performance truly lies on yourself. You could’ve spent your time on review books like I did. On psych, my teacher was ok, but I read the entire barrons and used my teachers packets as SUPPLEMENTS.

I got a 2 in Spanish Lang. I’m not a native speaker and hadn’t taken a Spanish class in a year (I was studying French last year). I prepped a little and walked out with thoughts of a pretty solid 3.

Maybe I was really close to a 3. Oh well. I’m a little disappointed because I am interested in studying linguistics in college.

Maybe I will try again next year? We’ll see.

I’ll have a 2 in Computer Science and Physics B so I’ll be joining this thread soon :(

I got twos in Chem and Gov. I was hoping for threes… but oh well. I self-studied Calc BC (got a four), and I studied way more for that subject than I did the other two. Guess it shows.

I might try CLEP… if I can muster up enough will power to study chemistry again, haha.
