I think about how pointless some aspects of the pre-medical curriculum are all the time. If a patient come in with STEMI, and I really going to have to know, “So, the oxygen atoms in her body have an atomic mass of 15.9999 and using the gas laws, if I can determine the volume of the gas, I can use simple algebra to find the moles of oxygen in the patients lungs.”

<p>You could make the same argument for much of the material covered in the first two years of medical school, the portion that you wanted to extend for greater retention of knowledge…</p>
