2006 Indoc

Jamzmom…my son at Navy has been my daughter’s biggest cheerleader! And he was so helpful when we dropped her off at O’Hara Hall, he just kept telling me that she was ready and would do fine. Because of his summer schedule he had to choose whether to be home for her graduation or her report day. He asked her which she would prefer and there was no contest, she wanted him there for her report day. It has been wonderful to have him home this past month to keep all of our spirits up and he has written her several times. It’s funny, but he always wanted to go to Navy, and she never wanted to go there. She never showed an interest in any of the service academies until she heard about MMA, then she went after her appointment full speed ahead. She never even applied to any of the other academies and she was spot on…she’s doing great and in the letter today, written last Friday before Indoc was over, she said that she’s happy! Go figure! So when I’m in Annapolis it’s a Go Navy shirt and in Great Neck is Go Mariners! Thank goodness there’s still one at home for me to spoil rotten. A mom’s gotta do what a mom’s gotta do! ;-)
