2006 Transfer Acceptance Thread

ahh yes, thanks…didn’t see that

When did you apply and when hear back? How hear back?

you’re the first uci transfer reject i’ve heard of. is that just a prediction or something? i don’t think uci started rejecting transfers yet.

kevin101, You got into USC already??? I was told that we would not find out until late May. Please let me know! Thanks.

Yes, I have been officially accepted… my other two friends also got in (they have 4.0 GPA)

I know this might sound stupid, since this is the transfer thread, but are you applying as a transfer or a freshman. Where did you find out? Is there an online way to check? Thanks

I and my other two friends received a package containing a “welcome to USC” and even a “certificate of admission.” ahhahaahah i’m a transferring student; if not, why am i discusing in this forum?

I think they are sending out the decisions on a rolling basis starting April just like some UCs do.

Hey Kevin, congrats! I had no idea they were notifying people yet… I thought someone posted like 2 days ago that they called admissions and were told that USC hadnt even started reviewing applications yet… when I called they told me mid may and they didnt ask my name so it wasn’t specific to me… i hope you are serious though. that would be so cool if they are sending acceptances out earlier this year than last year! Can you log on to any of the sites the freshman can get on like Explore and the Admitted Students Events page? are you currently a sophomore or freshman? were your friends engineering majors too? I want to find out about USC soooooooo badly! I was admitted last year as a freshman and turned it down because of cost and now I regret it so much. I’m really hoping I get in as a transfer. Congrats!!! Are you going to go to USC?

Thank you Kaitylin!

Could you give me the link for that?

One has 4.0 GPA in computer science major (yeah engineering department) and another one has about 3.8-3.9 GPA (not sure about her current GPA) in bio-chemistry (pre-med) major.

Wow, that is good to hear, i bet you will get in again then. Did you receive any financial aid or loan back then, how much did you have to pay? WOuld you like to share your high school stats as well as your college stats too?
