<p>15,000 out of 16,000 semifinalists advance to finalist, if that tells you anything. If you scored well on the PSAT, it is extremely unlikely that you’d bomb the SAT. Most semifinalists have good grades and their principals are happy to recommend them–having lots of finalists looks good for their schools.</p>
