<p>It’s really difficult to use the admission rate information unless you know how many apps they get for each grade vs slots available. 50 apps for one 11th grade slot can REALLY SKEW the statistics. Same for day vs boarders. There might be tons of day apps for a very limited amount of slots, depending on the size of the surrounding area. I wouldn’t let 20% admission rate be too discouraging. </p>
<p>So I would say, in my very unscientific way, that depending on the slot you are applying for, the actual rates might be anywhere from 50% to 5%.</p>
<p>I would be interested to know what attrition rates are like, though.</p>
