2009's top feeder schools

As for the Townview question, at least for TAG, more of their grads end up at UT Dallas than any other school, because UT Dallas throws money at them.

As for saying it’s the best school in Texas, that’s a stretch. They take more AP exams per student than anyone else in Texas, and do all right on them (not the best overall), but there are several comprehensive high schools and private schools which are just as good academically and beat Townview in things like extracurriculars and athletics (which Townview doesn’t have).

I do know the class of 2008 valedictorian at TAG did end up at UT, though.

I’ve been told by someone who went to Plano West and knows those students attending UT that many were not in the top 10%. As many as half of the 79 the students were not in top 10%.

That’s makes sense why they have the largest number.

@thelong

well townview was ranked the best school in the U.S. a couple of times, thats why i said it was the best in Texas. (yea students at townview get to play for their home school)

Well, Plano West is a crazy school of massive GPA’s, so anybody in the top 15%, maybe top 20% would be top 10% at other schools.

(I’m not Plano West, but I’m Plano East. No bias here! haha)

etceterae you go to east? me too lol

people always talk about these plano schools, i need to go to one for a day
