English lang: 5
US history: 5
US gov’t: 5
European history: 5
Calc AB: 5
Spanish lang: 5
English lit: 4

good enough for me :)

Calculus BC- 5 (AB subscore 5)
Computer Science- 5
Statistics- 5
Physics C: Mech- 5
Physics C: EMag- 3
English Literature- 4

YAY :D

Chem 5
US Hist 5
English Lang 5
French 3 <---- ahhhhhhhh

does this make me an ap scholar with honors?

@rrr321, sooo jealous of your chem grade!

I kinda wish I studied more for chem. I went to 2 review sessions and didn’t pay attention in class, then I BARELY (by a few points) got a 5 on a practice Chem AP. Gah, stupid 4.

And the English APs are pretty easy, I guess there’s a really small curve on them. :|

Just called for my son’s scores and one of the AP exams that he took was Calculus BC. When Edna read the score she said Calc BC 5 then she said subscore Calc AB 5.

Any one knows if that’s always the case, when you take BC you also get a score for AB? I am confused.

If that is the case, will it be considered as one AP exam or two that he took. This question stems from that he took 4 AP exams and scored 5s on all of them. So now he qualified for the “AP Scholar with Honor” award. But if they consider the Calc BC as two AP exams then he will qualify for the “AP Scholar with Distinction”

Can someone shed a light on this matter? Thank you guys.

human geography-5!

i’m so happy…this is my first ap exam! i know its the “easiest” ap but i’m still quite excited about my score.

by the way, does anyone know if our scores have been sent to our high schools yet? i think teachers can access them online this year, and i was wondering if high schools have them yet.

congrats hermione903, I see it’s your first post~ a really nice first post it is.

@zhabib Yah that is normal. That AB subscore is basically just using the AB style questions into account and scoring that. Some AB questions do appear on the BC test (3 FRQS, not sure how many multiple choice).

And it only counts as one test.

The AB subscore tells how you did on ONLY the calc AB questions in the BC exam. That’s 60% of the test. It’s a standard feature, and congrats!

No, they will not count as separate exams for AP scholar awards, but those awards are pretty meaningless, so don’t worry!

zhabib–AP Calc is one test. They give a subscore so you can get credit for at least one semester if you don’t do well enough on BC to qualify for 2.

The only one I know of that is 2 tests is Physics–and you actually have to pay for two tests, that’s for sure!

@hermione903 They aren’t able to look online yet. But, I am sure they will receive them very soon on the Internet as well as in the mail.

@mommusic and @An0maly and everyone that answered my question… Thanks for your quick response.

Yes, when you take cal bc, you always get a sub score for ab but it will only count as one. When you sent the score to college, it might make a difference if the bc score and ab score are different.

@hermione903: unfortunately, we don’t have online access yet. I talked with a rep at CB this morning, and all they would commit to was “mid-July.” That’s around the same time our paper/mailed reports used to show up. Guess I’ll have to wait for my students to call in and then let me know.

Hey guys do you know the phone number I need to access my AP number? What information do I need to provide for that?

Ok I checked on my colleges site two days ago and not all of my scores were up. I called edna this morning and she said that not all of my scores were available. What’s up w/ this? I took them all on the first date…

How is everyone getting their scores? Are you paying the 8 dollars or are they free somewhere?

@PhilipB2010

Unfortunately, they’re not free yet. We all paid $8 for the phone service.

Ugh, one (or more…ugh) of my scores isn’t available ): I need to know before scheduling opens up in a few days. A few of you guys are having problems too, which ones did you take? I took Statistics, Spanish Lang., European History, English Literature, Calculus AB, and US Government and Politics. Really don’t want to pay $8 twice…

Hmmm… I’m debating if it’s worth is or not. When will they be posted for free?
