**2011 APUSH Official Post-Test**

I almost talked about that OPEC embargo thing, but I couldn’t remember for the life of me if that was under Nixon or not, so I played it safe and didn’t say anything [about opec]. So that whole paragraph had like no outside info oo. I also couldn’t remember if Nixon was stagflation or not -_-, so I was just ughh. ■■■

I did…

3: political parties bad for national unity — seperate people – washington’s farewell adress warns us — Thomas Jefferson quote “we are all federalists…” ---- highest nationalism after war of 1812 only one party – era of good feelings — 1824 political parties start affecting too much andrew jackson gets screwed corrupt bargain – further sectionalism – leads to civil war

5: black leaders had same goals diff strategies
goal: equality
strategy:
1890s-1920s
booker t – education
garvey – back to africa
overall less immediate

1950s/60s:
more immediate
mlk march on washington/boycut
malcolm x

DBQ = ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I prepared for a civil war or progressive
Nixon came out of NOWHERE. plus they did Vietnam too years ago!
My class did nothing past the 60’s…

Free response. Joke, easiest questions they could ever have.

Multiple choice, didn’t like the so much focus on modern times. Know I missed at least 3.
I think I’ll still get a 4 though.

how do you guys think this test compared to the 2001 Released Exam? The cutoff for a 5 on that exam is 114, but AP Pass Calculator says 111…(even with new scoring). Anyone wanna make a prediction?

I am frantically trying to guess all possible combinations of scores I got haha

I’m gonna cry……I wrote an excellent essay but i just realized i put that nixon WAS IMPEACHED!! How low will my score go. NOOOOO

No he wasn’t.
He resigned before he was.

thanks Einstein, now can someone tell me how low my score will go :'(

Was the OPEC Embargo under Nixon?

the mc to me was pretty okay. its prolly gonna put me in the running for a solid 4.
dbq was great wrote 4 pages
the essay on slavery was pretty easy to me imo
the one on immigrants was also pretty easy but not as easy as the slavery question

what am i looking forward to? a 5 is possible so im gonna say that.

They don’t really care if you mess up a couple things.

I completely BSed the whole test last year and a got a 4, when I study for it I better get a 5…

I wrote that DuBois was violent, but I also added Washington and Garvey to that paragraph, so I am expecting not to get too much off. Then there is Malcolm X and MLK, who I said marched and pressed harder and were more unified to ensure that they get something accomplished.

This was really really BS though because all I did to study was read a review book in 2 days. If anyone knows if I’ll still do good, that’s cool, but I’m banking on the ~75% on MC and the good DBQ and second essay (I hope because all I did was talk about ways that the party system dis-unified). There’s like a 70 point curve so I really don’t think I’ll get below a 5 unless they grade the essays a lot harder than last year.

My class never got past WW2 … so DBQ topic was not a pleasant surprise. Was relying on what i read hurriedly from amsco this morning about it.

Somehow i still managed to write 6-7 pages.

I did #2 and #4. I think i did well, im just not really sure what they were looking for especially for #4, in hindsight i wish i did #5 but i was running low on time i couldn’t think so i just wrote everything that came to mind.

Multiple choice was really really really easy. There were maybe 5 or 6 that i wasn’t 100% sure on, so im hoping i got 70+/80.

Is anyone familiar with the scoring for APUSH? AP pass says if i get 65/80 and 5/5/4 on essays i still get a 5. Is that about right?

Easy. Easy. Easy. All around for me, maybe unsure of 10-20 MC, but that’s about it.

crappp i wrote SDI instead of SDS for the dbq… would that have a huge impact on my grade? :(

And I talked about William Lloyd Garrison for the african american leader one for the time period between 1890 and 1910…
he died in 1880. ■■■■.

I almost put him there also, until I realized he came before the time period and that he was white.

Dubois and Washington were 1890-1920s right? I’m fairly certain they were but at that point in the test I stated doubting that they may be the 50s and 60s.

But I thought they were all fairly moderate. The MC covered a lot past Nixon surprisingly, and the DBQ was awesome! Part C was pretty easy; you could even BS it. in any case. Not too bad, for basically self studying the entire test (my teacher sucked & we basically stopped our partial coverage at 1900)

omg literally like 10 minutes ago i was so confident. wow this sucks.
how much can they penalize you for incorrect info? :(

nvm 10char.

Einstein: not a big deal. He almost was in any case. I put Garvey under 1950 by accident too. I don’t think it will absolutely kill your score.

lol cheng very first question was hardest haha.

@dlekdms, it wont hurt you it just wont help you. They dont take off points for incorrect info it just doesn’t help your argument. If you talked about other stuff your fine. and SDS hardly matters at all
