“a precocious achievement” its from when you search it. Prodigy means gifted and talented but a virtuoso is EXTREMELY talented. That’s why i chose it. This a HORRIBLE question. Maybe they’ll throw it out!

fishmonster, there was a small part in the paragraph that confirmed that she had “positive feelings” (Can’t remember the exact word) about taking on the persona of her grandma. I felt conscientious could have described the girl but not the tone of the paragraph.

i said self satisfied cuz she said she breezily took over her grandma’s life. she sounded pretty self satisfied. not conscientious, which means careful, it said nothing about her being careful

@highschoolqueen

i definitely agree with you. she was conscientious to pretend to be her grandmother. i’m sure she was satisfied with her work, too, but the paragraph was about how she CAREFULLY wrote the letter as her grandmother

@Ivycraze

im pretty sure it said that she took care (or some other wording) to write as her grandmother

so which section was the experimental section?
I got 4 CR sections.
I remember one passage being literacy.
Another section was about paige the the crappy Tribulation one.
Another was about the grandaughter writing for her grqandmother.
And another one was about pain

i was confident coming out of that room, but now from what you guys are saying, im only heading downhill…

I got self-satisfied, but for the 8 x 11.5 or whatever, i put because of the floral design
im pretty sure it said that the floral design cramped her style , or maybe i misread that wrong, so the 8x11 was plan and thus better than her grandmothers paper…? idk anymore

@highschool queen

I thought the answer was self satisfied bc she said something like she was happy with writing the letters and the tone of the passage as a whole was also satisfied but im not sure

also what did everyone put for the question that went along the lines of "what does the sentence ‘A long pause and then a sigh’ say about the grandmother’s feelings?

I said new devices since it’s the supporters of the 2nd theory. They could NOT answer why the brain feels pain with stimulus, so they are not going to say stressing.

Needed more space.
Resignation – it was not resolve. The question asked for the whole sentence, which included she then signed. (or was it two sentences?)

she said that she felt no regret for what she was doing. she said that she felt good thats why i put self satisfied. the line designation on the question indicated self satisfied though the paragraph before indicated conscientious.

@dancer567: I put resignation for that one.

Seahawks: I know, but didn’t the question directly ask for that paragraph. All it said was how she referred to her brother as “grandson”, something else, and complaining about her daughter in law (narrarator’s mother). This obviously shows clear scrutiny to details.
conscientious means : meticulous; careful; painstaking; particular (according to dictionary.com). She was CLEARLY meticulous and careful in creating a persona through the eyes of her grandmother

Oh and for the grandma letter question, it’s self-satisfied because she “assumed the role of her grandma with no regret” or something along the lines of that. Were she conscientious, she would’ve had qualms about writing all of these things that her grandma never even meant to say. Rather, she is self-satisfied that she was able to create something better out of the “measly soup” that her grandma’s letters were.

@dancer i put resignation cuz the grandmother sighed after the silence
