2011 January SAT: Critical Reading

Was the other question about the ballet dancers “mental composition” or something like that?

Yup OSU, I believe I chose “Mental make-up” which is what you mean.

Ah good that’s what I put!
And to confirm, the experimental was the one about the art critic right? Why couldn’t it have been tribulations?

Haha I remember getting Tribulation as my first CR passage and thinking that my chances for the test had been screwed. It turned out to be all right after some hard thinking.

Yeah my first was ecotourism. And I thought I was screwed. Surprisingly the end of the test was easier for me. I felt like I finished strong and started shaky.

I kinda sorta really hate the SAT.

What about the one with the guy who “cajoled” important people? One of the answers was neophyte… I picked the “s” response, but I can’t remember what the word was. =/

First SAT ever and thought it was nothing like the SAT practice test I’ve taken, math was super easy but CR, what was that old house about and the guy with no age!!! Essay was super easy, I just agreed with idealistic approaches and I supported it on how inventions shaped our society and world, I thinking did really good on that but after section 6, I just wanted to leave the testing room, and section 10 seemed like all the questions/sentences were correct! No error! Ahhhhhhhh I’m scared for the result!

I wonder how many people will get a 2400 on this specific SAT?

^^ Your essay was about ideals?

Idk *** was going on with ecotourism section :'(

:( how ideas inventions are brought through idealistic approaches, they expect greatness and create greatness instead of expecting to common, such as wright brothers??? Damn your scaring me! :(

Ugh I hate autocorrection on iPods!

does anyone know the answer to the key question.( the one with the girl named Harriet or something)

Oh yeah, wasn’t it like with one answer that said “the hariett family destroyed the house” was that the question?

Just to clarify:
‘the politician decreased taxes in his city not to ____ the citizens but to ____ his reputation’
The actual question was more along the lines of “The politician decreased taxes in his city not for the ______ of his citizens but more for his own _______”
I remember the choice was welfare…reputation.

The key question was about what the key referred to the in passage.
I can’t remember the answer at all, but the narrator was describing how she was walking right over the real evidence as she was searching for artifacts. The things she overlooked were really the solution to her problem.

The key was a realistic look into her family’s past.

ok cool thts what i ot…what about the ballet and extroverts one?

What’s about the question that the Harriet family destroyed the house? And on one math question that you had to right the number, did anyone get 2.6 on one, that’s the only one I’m doubting myself on

Response to physical stimuli.

^
Both have a similar response to physical stimuli
