Do you think UCLA will take more transfers than last year? because UCLA admitted a lot more freshmen this year than last year haha…

i heard they are going to take more transfers this year than last year

I agree with Ella89… it would be LEGIT if at least 2 freaking people could have the same exact thing going on…THEN maybe some of this would mean something

@addyamaa9: please don’t! I’m sure nobody knows until actual decisons are out…

i. just. can’t. deal. with. this. anymore!!! if decisions don’t come out on monday i’ll seriously go bizzzarkkk

:(
I can’t sleep it seems tonight, tomorrow and Sunday :(

OK, I even tried resetting my password. It still says “login failed”. So I’m just going to give up at this point and assume that it is all random.

I’m convinced it is. So all you guys CHILLAX! …it does not mean anything. I’m also convinced that for those that can see the financial aid stuff, it’s a positive sign (not a DEFINITE sign though). This, of course, is just conjecture and “educated guessing” from last year’s stats. Out of roughly 50-some-odd people who could see this last year, only ONE saw their Fin. aid info and got rejected.

to assist me with passing the time, i’m heading off to video games, i’ll talk to you guys in a few hours

Hey guys…this is my first post and I’ve been following this thread for forever–I pretty much live for you guys to update this haha

Just a heads up maybe I can help?
Got into UCLA as an English major, failed a math class so they took it back, but even now I’m still able to log into my old Myucla, and Ursa–the day they took back my admissions my major disappeared on Myucla…and my FA wasn’t updated until one day after I was accepted.

I applied again this year with even better stats than last year but can’t see my major, or any extra Ursa stuff, like some of you.

:)

3.8
Women’s Studies
great ec’s…
no financial aid showing up at allll and no change on myucla, just “summer session student” :/

This is clear and convincing proof (at least for me) that it is extremely unlikely that they will update someone’s financial aid info, unless they are accepted.

And, here’s what you can extrapolate from this:

**If you CAN see your fin. aid info/b. The aforementioned ONE person who eventually did not get in (last year), might have had his/her admission withdrawn or cancelled at the last moment for some reason (justification for that case).

If you CANNOT see your fin. aid info - it means NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. You might be in and they have just not updated it yet!

victor5555-what about seeing your major in myUCLA? Or being able to make a bruincard?

^^ I’m tempted to say that if you can see your major that is a very good sign, but there is no RELIABLE info out there to confirm this

Yeah I agree with victor. The major thing sounds great, but no one from prior years did that. I think the housing and bruincard is random personally. There have been people without fin aid tracking that can do those things.

@victor5555

k…i dug last year’s threads and found out that person. his id is shoein. he applied to bizecon with 3.5 and claimed that he was able to see the stuffs on ursa. to be realistic, with his gpa, he stood no chance of being accepted into that major. im guessing he was just confused or admisiion office made a mistake, which can happen. they might have typed in wrong id or something like that.

password, there you go. I knew there had to be some reason. And the 3.5/Biz Econ seems to make sense

^he could have had TAP/alt major.

^ Even with TAP it’s impossible to get into bizecon with a 3.5

this is all so random. ucla should just surprise us and tell us all right now.

can someone chance me?

ella, yes that makes even more sense. Maybe he was referring to the fact that he did not get into his primary major and had a non-impacted alternate.

and jaynami, it’s true. Even TAP will most likely not help someone with a 3.5, unless they “invented a time machine or something”
and wrote about it in their essay.
