Note for all, Columbia Integrated CMBS cuts roughly 50% post interview.

@seniospring, Just officially turned down Scripps. Both of the interview weekends conflicted with interviews I already have scheduled w/ Stanford and Cornell. Neither Cornell or Stanford have alternate weekends that I know of and in the end, I think I have enough interviews as is. Scripps is fantastic though.

As to dress code, just follow whatever guidelines the program gives. I wouldn’t over think it, it’s not super important.

stanford - interview
chicago - interview
ucdavis - interview
ucsf - interview
berkeley - results coming end of next week/early week after
ucla - no word

Me too. I’m the third name down on the link that listed our schedules. Have they gotten back to you yet? It seems like everything will be delayed a bit due to the weather.

I’m 8th on that list. I spoke to my host after the weekend and he said they’d be meeting to make decisions after this weekends group (which is pretty much what the grad coordinator said during the Friday morning breakfast). So I’m assuming we’ll be hearing decisions from them pretty soon. I hope so because I’ve only heard from 2 schools so far and it’s starting to make me crazy since everyone keeps posting their interview invites.

@eeb Wow nice list and lots of interviews, awesome. So far I’ve gotten 2 and haven’t heard from any of the other schools. Waiting impatiently for some news (good or bad) from the rest.

@eeb Brad Shaffer, though there are a few others I’m almost equally as interested in. They have a nice department. I went and looked at old gradcafe posts from last app cycle and I didn’t see any posts about ucla eeb interviews or acceptances.

@greenertea, why do you like cornell over scripps? as of now i am looking at ucsf caltech berkeley ucsd cornell and umich, and i feel like i shouldnt go to all of those interviews. i may have to decide between ucsd and cornell to drop one in addition to umich, but i am still waiting on scripps and have it ranked above all three in my opinion…

UCLA ACESS interview via email, finally!! I’m a native Los Angelino so I’m pretty geeked. 9/10 on interviews so far. Still waiting on Rockefeller…

@PDStemcell Thanks. That is totally possible. I didn’t put as much passion and time on western coast schools as on apps to Harvard and MIT. I actually rushed my Stanford application…

Just curious, what do you guys think about getting a PhD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey? I know, it’s not a top tier school, but can anyone tell me his/her opinion?
