so the classes that have no “UCSD Approx” listed under them didn’t transfer? or is it that it has to go further evaluation to determine if they transfer or not? like i have to apply for equivalency to each department?

Soo you guys know how we’re supposed to check the new student site for our FA12 course recommendations? Well, the counselor who reviewed my academic history wrote this (which I’m pretty confused about):

"If you transfer to ERC under IGETC/TAG or UC Reciprocity, official certification must be sent from your previous educational institution. Your degree audit lists remaining college requirements and will reflect completion of IGETC/TAG or UC Reciprocity if applicable.

As of August we do not see TAG/IGETC certification posted. If the Admissions Office posts it by the time you enroll later this month, we will update your degree audit to reflect the TAG/IGETC ERC requirements. After enrollment you will need to tell us if you see it posted in your Academic History. Without official certification, you must complete the ERC GE requirements. Please confirm that your community college has sent your certification to the UCSD Admissions Office."

–what does this mean? Is there a separate IGETC only certification that I have to have sent to admissions?

I thought all they needed was to see the “IGETC CERTIFIED” thing at the bottom of my transcript?

Can someone shed some light on this issue? I’d highly appreciate it :)

@shizz
from what i understand the igetc certification is a seperate, standalone domument thats signed by the top ***** at the college. Where it lists recieved tranacripts it lists igetc certification as a seperate item.

@buranka
well if the courses are listed on assist then they transfe…idk exactly how it works, anyone?

@shizz

Like durper said, IGETC Certification is a separate document signed by your previous educational institution or community college.

Anyone got validated today?

Nope…■■■

still not validated, me and all other ppl in my cc…

FWIW, my academic history updated and displayed all my courses last night. Myapplication updated this morning and said requirement met. I had all my transcripts and IGETC papers sent in by mid June.

Thanks guys. What the heckkkk…
How come I didn’t know about this?? My Jcollege doesn’t even do that then cuz there was only one thing I could’ve done for IGETC which I did…I didn’t know nor did anyone tell me about this efff–even admissions at Saddleback College told me I’m good to go. Am I screwed now with signing up for classes, or can I still send it in and be fine? – if I send it tomorrow they prob won’t receive it until my registration date 8/27 :(.

Are you TAG shiizzz? If so it may be more of an issue. Call and see whats up, if Barbra answers shoot yourself.

No tag just IGETC…thanks for the encouragement???

still not validated…there’s an error again when I try to log into triton link

@itsspat

Yeah, tritonlink isn’t working me either. The site is down I guess :/

@shiizzz ohh alrighty. man they need to fix their site and keep it fixed

did anyone get their email of when their move-in date was? wasn’t it supposed to come out on the 15th? or was it sometime after the 15th

^I just got the housing email this morning.

Got the email too. It said they will inform the assigned move-in dates by the 23rd they’re taking so longg i thought they will have it up by now…

Anyone doing the early move-in?

^ I was thinking about moving in a day early, I think it’s worth $31 to beat the rush of the whole school moving in on the weekend. It’d be nice to go hang out at the beach or a friends place while thousands of people are moving their stuff around and waiting in lines.

ooh just got the email. I’m gonna do the early move in so that I can avoid the chaos + have more time to play before classes start

Likewise! I’m planning on early move in too. How early are you guys thinking about moving in?! They say the earliest we can move in is the 15th… and I was thinking since my orientation date is the 17th, I might just move in that weekend too to save myself some gas money lol.

Oh wait wait, is it $31/day for everyday we’re there earlier than the original move in date?!
