<p>^ They’ll read the essay. That’s why I suggest talking about how UCSD is your number #1, etc. People take “waitlist” too literally, it’s not a “list” and they just pick from the top whoever signed on first. They go through a whole round of review again if the spaces open up.</p>
<p>I called and asked if the date i opt-in for the waitlist affects my place on it and they said no.</p>
