Lol @ Sandykeen I’m a girl… Ouais ca va, j’attend toujour…
@kimimaro, thx for the link…
And congrats to everyone!

Woohoo!! Congratulations, KayeJordan! You’ve been admitted to The University of Texas at Austin.

You’ve been accepted for admission into the incoming class to the Unspecified Business (transfer) major in the Red McCombs School of Business beginning in Fall 2013.

My Stats:

~Currently attending Blinn College
~GPA: 4.0
~I’ve already finished micro- and macroeconomics and calculus 1 and 2
~Have 64 transferrable hours (basically did every course that the transfer guide recommended)
~Pretty good essays and resume
~3 letters of recommendation (1 from econ teacher, 1 from cal professor, and 1 from my boss)
~Employed by a local bank since last summer
~Lots of community service hours and other EC’s
~Member of Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta, and Mu Alpha Theta

Congrats to everyone else who found out today!! Hook 'em!!

Wow a Blinn attendee going to UT instead of TAMU! What is your reasoning, just out of curiosity?

Blinn was close to home and was overall cheaper… I’ve always been a longhorn at heart though :D

Seems like any McCombs residential applicants in this thread got in. Congrats!

Hi yall, I have been looking at this thread for a while now but I just haven’t wanted to say anything because my gpa was so low… but I guess now that people are actually finding out if they are getting in I might as well. I had my application in February 18th and I applied for Psychology (BSPsy) here are my stats:
Current College: Sam Houston State University
Current GPA: 3.41
First choice/Second choice: COLA Psychology/Undergraduate Studies
Transferable Credit Hours: 53 Hours (Working on 13 now so 66 at the end of the semester, but I highly doubt all of them will be transferable)
Extracurricular Activities/Recommendations/Essays: I am a member of Gamma Sigma Kappa, and I have three jobs; barista/customer sales associate, hairstylist, and dance instructor(I work a good 50 hours per week). I got recommendations from my boss at my hair shop and one from my manager at my barista job. My essays were okay in my opinion but everyone else seemed to like them a lot.
I did a ton of things in high school: Dance team for 3 years and I was an officer, I was in cosmetology and an officer of Skills USA, I was in Key Club, Interact Club, Spanish Club… Just a ton of stuff.
Since college I have been on the dean’s list twice and the presidents list once.
What do yall think? Im so ready to just find out.

I’ve been creeping this page for a while.

I applied for Psychology (BSPsy).

Current College: Texas State University

Current GPA: 3.47

I’ve seen a few Psychology majors get their decision already and I was getting worried cause I hadn’t. But they’ve all been BA’s I believe.

So @jacarjarawr definitely let me know when you find out if you’re in or not!

@CoolCat321 @jacarjarawr:
I think the lower GPA’s get notified later?
I’m in the same boat, I have a GPA of a 3.44 but it’s tricky because I simultaneously attended two different Community Colleges.
When I checked my Scholarship App UT said my GPA was at a 3.4 even though. That kind of freaks me out a bit :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m really anxious and nervous as well. First thing I do when I wake up is check this forum and then MyStatus! lol

I applied as a lower division RTF oos transfer so hopefully I get in

Quick question about mystatus…

http://oi46.■■■■■■■.com/x3gv3t.jpg

When admissions is actually looking over your application
does the “transfer admission application” column to the right
update from “Complete/On time” to “In Review” ??

@dpayan7 Lol yeah, I literally have been checking this forum and mystatus about every 30 min. haha

But yeah, hopefully we all get in!

I’m so sick of waiting… My girlfriend and I are trying to transfer but her deadline was pushed back until June we we can’t really decide (if I do get in) until then.

@dpayan7 no, mine looks like yours before I got accepted

@CoolCat321 @dpayan7 Yeah, same here. If I had a nickel for every time I’ve checked My Status the past two weeks, I’d be able to pay for my own tuition with no assistance hahaha. All aboard the waiting boat!

Is there anybody (preferably UGS or RTF) that has gotten accepted with a pretty low GPA (less than a 3.6)?

@tahinak…OMG!! my bad… sister/brother all same isn’t it…??..lmaoo

been reading through the forum, trying to find people to chill with at orientation.
I was accepted to McCombs and the CNS on monday. seems a lot of people are still waiting… good luck to you all. To answer some persons question about financial aid, they create your package usually 2 weeks after you accept admision

I hate the emotions that go along with this process… Every single thing I do at school during the day leads my mind back to this agonizing wait to hear back from UT, and that every single thing I do makes the difference between a 3.5 minimum that I’ll have or the 3.57 that I’m hoping for on my spring transcript. I feel like my entire life revolves around the pursuit of that number right now because I feel like my entire application depends on 0.07 of a point… Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a healthy lifestlyle for any of us. :confused: I think McCombs is out of reach for me, but at this point I’m biting at the bit so hard for COLA - Economics. Anyone else in the same boat as me? I’m sure I’m not the only one here waiting with his tail between his legs. Haha

I applied to Communication and Liberal Arts with a 3.53 gpa. I am a freshman at Texas Tech and had 30 hours credit already when you add up last semester and my AP credits/ Dual Credits. I think I have a decent shot for liberal arts, but the wait is still killing me! What do you guys think?

@acceptmepls- I understand completely. I watched my roommate get accepted four days ago, and since then it has only gotten worse. I can’t focus on anything. Hang in there! You are not alone : )

@saby88 - With your GPA, I’m sure your decision is a no-brainer for the admissions committee. Haha. It’s those of who are on the line who have to sweat.
