<p>How is Long Beach, Chico, or Fullerton ranked above Cal Poly Pomona?</p>
<p>I know several graduates from all three schools and they’re not what I’d consider particularly smart. Is it their liberal arts programs? Location? </p>
<p>It seems like Cal Poly Pomona is pretty stagnant in the rankings. I know several years ago they were ranked 7th (2005 I think) and then took a major nose dive to their current place and haven’t really moved since. 
I think it was due to some bad faculty (which they got rid of thankfully I think in 08-09). There’s been a lot of good thins happening for Cal Poly Pomona. I think they need to do more research.</p>
<p>I only know of New Mexico Tech and Abilene Christian University because I know people who personally go there. Kind of surprises me to see they’re up that high, tho.</p>
