2014 Admissions Stats

I believe that they believe that there will be a decrease in yield due to a variety of reasons (of which we can only speculate). I say this because of the dean’s comment in the article about the number of students that they believe they may take off the waitlist (“we hope very much to take a substantial number”). As such, they accepted more students this year and are actually concerned with under-enrolling as opposed to over-enrolling.

I agree with you.

haha thanks for the reassurance an0maly

Ha, 238.43 black people = not me :(.

middle eastern ftw!!!

blah

now i wish i put engineering instead of math. oh well

So I was checking my “College Apps” folder to see where my Harvard.pdf was, and it wasn’t there! I just had a 15 second heart attack until CommonApp confirmed that I did, indeed, apply to Harvard.

Yeah, I’m hitting the bed.

^
lmao. what a coincidence… i was checking my commonapp for harvard O_O

hey calm it down Handala92!

You got into Stanford  (which is a better engineering school anyway…)

geeze… I’ve gotten in to no “top notch” schools (yet?)

Ya…Handala… not gonna lie…I definately wish I was you right now (I know that sounds creepy!). You have already invaded and taken HYPS while most of us have not (yet?) so no matter what you win. Plus, its always warm at Stanford = D.

i wish we could trade acceptance…

id be happy to trade my yale acceptance to a stanford one…

or for that matter, id be happy to trade ANY of my acceptance to stanford. blah

I’d be happy to trade my acceptance to OH WAIT

be happy people :)

most don’t get into any of these places.

^It’ll suck if you get into Yale and I get into Harvard instead of vice versa (or some combination). If that happens, I’ll wish so badly that we could switch. Le sigh.

Are we trading acceptances now?

I will trade JHU BME acceptance for the Stanford acceptance. I’d include MIT as a bonus if you also give me a $10,000 scholarship every year. If I get accepted to HYP tomorrow, I will sell them for $20,000 each. :P

I will trade my acceptances to UVM, UNH, UMD, BU and NU plus my waitlist spot at Vandy for a chance at Harvard.

Well…maybe not NU. But the rest, plus the scholarship money, is definitely up for trade.

it’d be a win-win situation…

epic though :D

So where are the numbers on the minority applications? That’s what I want to see, just knowing how many are accepted doesn’t really help me :/

I do not believe that Harvard will be publishing the acceptance rates by racial category.

I can see the headlines now:

The New Black Market: Selling College Acceptances

I’d really like to see the acceptances by countries.
