<p>^^I know! My friend, who sent in his Holy Cross ED app 2 weeks later than I sent in my SCEA app, just got accepted! I was like “COME ON!”. I mean I was happy for him, but I kinda wished I had my decision now too so that I could either start on the other apps or just relax and stop stressing . . .</p>
<p>Friend’s birthday is on Dec. 16 and she applied SCEA, so her result on Dec. 15 could either be the greatest present ever if she was accepted or the worst present ever if she is rejected since Yale’s also her first choice. Is it weird for you guys when you have close friends that have the same first choice school? I mean come the 15th and one was accepted and the other wasn’t, would you feel like you guys were competing for a spot at Yale?</p>
<p>^^ i know exactly what you mean. a side reason why i applied to yale was to avoid conflict with my best friend, but he changed his mind and is now applying RD. definitely not a good feeling.</p>
<p>So, I’m a little hazy on how we get the results. Can we get them the morning of by that Eli Account thing, or just by snail mail later in the day?</p>

on a side note, I am considering applying to Princeton and Harvard too, just incase I don’t get in Yale (remote chance I know) but I was planning on applying after the Yale decision, so I’m not wasting money

<p>I know if it’s an acceptance, the blue screen shows up with the Yale song, so you would know immediately. But if it’s a deferral or rejection, is there a letter or something? I’d probably exit the browser as soon I as see there’s no “Congratulations” and not even read the letter haha.</p>
<p>Yeah, and I called Harvard in the end of Oct. and they said they start reading as soon as they get them…because it “doesn’t make sense to wait till we have 20,000+ apps”. Eh, idk.</p>

<p>i already applied to the schools that i still would do even if i got into yale (ie HPS) but what is your take on sending my other completed apps of schools that i wouldn’t apply to if i got into yale? im already done with them, but should i save the few hundred bucks on apps and wait until 12/15 or just send them now?</p>
