really? I thought brown fared pretty well. lots of green. some deferrals, not that many rejections

Oh cool. Haha i didn’t expect those astericks to be there. I typed double-u tee eff hahaha…oopsie. Okay sorry now I feel like I asked a dumb question.

i’m glad they locked it
that way the thread will be useful

Brown thread was like Dartmouth-I hope ours is like that

Yeah Dartmouth seemed to do really well! No one in my school made it to Stanford, nor Caltech, nor Penn. So I’m quite frightened…our school generally does okay =

At my school, we have one for Penn, a triple legacy, one for Caltech, all-around great math guy, and none for Stanford (i don’t think anyone did their SCEA :P)

Note that Dartmouth and Brown were both ED. ED generally accepts more students than EA. Unfortunately, Yale will probably look more like Stanford, except with 2/3 of those rejections turned into deferrals. :)

So far at my school: 1 Dartmouth, 1 Penn, 1 Brown…

we’ve had 1 penn, 1 stanford and 3 caltechs already.

@ verbosely…

if you go to yale.edu/admit, and then to “important imformation for early action applicants,” there’s a link on the left, “eli accounts,” and it’s there

i highly doubt they would make a sex scene between harry and hermione…that’s a complete deviation from the books and they have to know that there would be angry outcries around the world if that happened…plus isn’t harry potter supposed to be for kids still? that wouldn’t been very kid-friendly…

just 1 cornell at my school…but there are only 55 people in my class, and most didn’t apply early to ivies

Well, Penn and Columbia and Cornell were ED also. They weren’t absolutely horrible but it was still pretty tough.

^ Ahh, thanks I just found it :D

We have 2 Cornell and 1 Penn which is AWESOME…normally we only send 2 TOTAL to ivies and we still have a bunch of results to wait for

@Color
I read it on the NYPost. I could find you the exact link, if you’re interested.

my class is rocking EA/ED so far:

3 Penn
2 Columbia
2 Cornell
1 Dartmouth
1 Brown
1 Stanford

whuuuut. it’s strange how I get really, really excited for people when they get in - even if I don’t know them that well. have you guys noticed the same thing?

That’s true, those schools are ED in contrast to EA. Yale will be like that except Yale defers a lot instead of rejects a lot like Stanford, which is a good thing depending on your viewpoint.

So far, our Earlies at my school haven’t been good =\ But last year, our class of 2013/hs class 2009 got 1 penn, 4 dukes, 1 stanford, 1 yale (got accepted into princeton), 1 harvard, 3 MITs. I think it’ll be hard for us to live up to. [crosses fingers]

My class has gotten 1 Columbia rejection and 1 WUSTL rejection…not making me too confident :(

percyshelley, I agree, I feel like I’m getting a lot of vicarious emotions going on too, unfortunately I have yet to have a friend (or anyone I know) accepted to anywhere above Penn State…

Yeah, I read the article about the sex scene too…my guess is it will be more like the kissing scene that was in the book (when Ron sees the two of them in the locket after it opens); by any means, it’s certainly not going to be pornographic or anything like that…

wow…at my school, there was only one other person besides me applying early to an ivy. both of us are doing SCEA yale.

Same here. Our class last year was amazing. We had 3 MITs, 3 Penns, 3 Yales, 3 Columbias, 2 Princetons, 2 Browns, 3 Cornells. (Obviously, a few overlaps) Out of about 160 people…

pigs’ school:

ivy league/stanford ed/ea acceptances= 0

of people applying early to an ivy=1 (me) yay!!!
