2014 SCEA hopefuls?

i’d rather be deferred than rejected, honestly. i don’t think i could handle a big fat rejection in the middle of finals–now that would SUCK. lol.

Stupefy–SAT scores ah!! i’m hoping for 2350+ but will be satisfied with 2330+. hopefully it’s nothing below those two, otherwise, i don’t know.

How likely is it that you’ll be ultimately rejected if you get deferred?
Just wondering.

about 95% actually

WOW… this thread has gotten so long. How many SCEArs do we have on board now?

^really?! I hope you are not just being sarcastic, Chair2?
If not, how do you know?

deferred applicants are put into the regular pool, which has a 5% acceptance rate. those deferred may be more competitive a lot of stronger applicants apply EA, but i’m only assuming that when RD applicants are added their competition is matched. i was probs misleading because deferred applicants may have a little higher acceptance rate, but not entirely sure on this one.

Oh, 95% ultimately rejected. I thought you meant accepted. As you can see, I got excited. :p

thany you so much for helping out guys it really helped me stop worrying :):)
each year they take a few students from my school- im hoping against hope im one of them! Best of luck to you all :D:D:D
xx
ps: did anyone give their sat2 in literature? If so, how was it?

I GOT AN 800 IN SAT LIT!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO

the rate for 800s is less than 1 percent!! I CANT BELIEVE IT

^^ haha i got a 670 in lit :-p , 780 in bio tho :-)

gonna retake lit in november then i guess, but will yale receive my scores from november, even if im standby testing, in time?

I’m applying too. only i think i screwed up my chance. i got a decent SAT score but totally screwed up my SAT sub tests. yuck…

hahaha stupefy thats amazing, what ARE you :stuck_out_tongue:
I got a 700 in lit, is that too bad? 750 in physics (ive taken it at SL level in the IB, so maybe thatll work for me…)
Oh well.
Hope everyone’s done well :D

haha thanks  well english is my best subject so. but still I’m so happy. was NOT expecting that
and no, a 700 in lit is good considering the ridiculously small curve

I SUBMITTED MY APP TODAY! It was really hard to click send. Now i must wait… :(

Just curious:

what would you guys rather have?
700CR, 760M, 690W (2150) or
680CR, 740M, 780W (2200).

Obviously, the higher the score the better, but seeing as schools value CR and M higher, which would you pick?

I i sent my scores from the oct SAT with my test registration, but my eli account still doesn’t have my scores on it. will it take a while to upload?

who says schools value math and critical reading higher? thats completely untrue. only georgetown does that.

pigsatsea whoa eli accounts show sat scores?? thats AWESOME. cant wait to get mine! comes by email right?

lol, I’m a complete outsider to this thread…I think I may have posted once like 50 pages back or so, but I just submitted my app today…wishing there was a smiley that truly captured my emotions right now…

^stupefy, you would easily take the higher score, yes?

Also, I rushed my october scores to yale… was this a mistake?
