@jubilant56 Can’t you change your college board password right after you lend it to someone to check scores? My daughter is checking scores for people and she would never go back into someone’s account.
Just use the Avast VPN app on a smartphone like someone suggested. I couldn’t get any proxy servers to work on a regular computer. I downloaded Avast and had the scores in seconds- easy as 1,2,3
update and correction to my original post.
@anxiousturtle I believe the AP report includes all AP scores. But, I’ve read everyone’s scores posted here and something is strange with the Chem AP test results. I’ve now seen six students get all 5s except for AP Chem. Four got 4s and two got 3s. I went over to Twitter and looked at the score distribution for AP Chem and it looks similar to other AP courses, 8.4% got 5s and 15.2% got 4s. I haven’t seen a pattern like this with any other AP test where so many people have straight fives except for one subject. Also my daughter got a 760 on her chem SAT II, but Chem AP was her only 4 score. She found the Chem AP test to be very easy. Furthermore my son had a B in chem and scored a 5 in a different year and my daughter got an A in chem with the exact same course and teacher and got a 4.
@fifty50 AP Chem test was just death this year. I was scoring 3’s on practice AP Tests (Including the 2014 FRQ’s) and ended up getting a 1 on the AP Test. My other scores were 5 in AP Calc, 3 in APUSH and 4 in AP English Language.
If I remember correctly my teacher had said that one of the FRQ’s involved something about a lab that used equipment that we hadn’t used that year and that very few schools could probably afford and she didn’t expect it to be on the test so she didn’t even talk about what it was. If your daughter doesn’t go to a very well funded HS then maybe that one FRQ was enough to bring her score down.
@fifty50 The problem is that your daughter might have been careless on her FRQ’s because she realized it was easy. This has happened to me before… Have her retake it next year if you really want her to get a 5…
The AP Chemistry exam underwent a major overhaul the year before last, from more of a memorization-based exam to more of a conceptual exam - kind of like the ACT Science section but more difficult. I took the exam last year and scored a 4, as with the apparent majority on College Confidential this year. Last summer, I took the Chemistry SAT Subject test and I found that test to be very similar to the MC section of the old format AP Chemistry exam - which was MUCH easier than the current format. My guess is that CollegeBoard transfers the old format MC sections from recently updated exams to the SAT Subject Test.
Did anyone else not received the AP Scholar award and feel like they should have??
@pathospablo you don’t receive it until August
Two 5’s, two 4’s, two 3’s. One 5 or 4 off of National AP Scholar. Really thought I did well. SO CLOSE. Oh well.
Physics C E&M: 5 Mech: 4
Calc: 5
English Lit: 4
US Gov: 3
Macroeco: 3
If anyone needs help accessing their scores, I can look them up. Just pm me
@fifty50 I can tell you that the AP Chemistry Exam has become much more difficult after the course update last year. I took the exam last year and was one of the lucky few to earn a 5, yet I did this largely through months of study that was heavily focused on the Exam Course Description and format. Many prep books and other forms of test prep were simply not up to date with how the test has changed so many people who studied solely from these sources were blind-sided on the actual exam. Oddly enough, when it came to taking the SAT II for Chem in June after the AP Exam, I found that I was not prepared at all even though I had studied so thoroughly for the AP Exam. I believe that this is because these two tests are very different from one another, with the SAT II being similar to the old AP Chemistry format. I distinctly remember scoring a 590 on the first practice test I took for the SAT II (ikr?). It was only after another month of very different studying that I was able to walk into the exam and, with a lot of luck, earn a 780.
Thus, don’t worry too much about your daughter’s score. The fact that she was able to earn a 4 is still outstanding (only five people PASSED the exam at my school out of around 25 students). I think that the way they changed it is somewhat unfair to the students this year and last year who have to adjust to the new style, but that’s the way it goes!
But other people already have the badge when they log in. I didn’t have it
@pathospablo Last year I had to wait until the fall to get my AP scholar award. Don’t sweat it.
@TV4caster is right, just use the Avast VPN app on your phone. Works great and you don’t have to share your login with others
CHEMISTRY: 4 (was 99% sure I didn’t even pass; beyond happy and extremely confused by this score, considering how hard it was and how much I left un- or under-answered.)
ENGLISH LANGUAGE: 5 (Okay, English is sort of my thing, so had I not gotten a 5 I would have been quite mad at myself.)
MACROECONOMICS: 5 (Found this class extremely interesting, which I guess is why I was able to do well on the exam.)
PHYSICS 1: 5 (I have 0 clue how this happened: I’ve always considered myself mathematically challenged, and I thought that the exam was absolutely brutal. {I didn’t even answer some parts of the FRQ’s.})
US HISTORY: 4 (I wrote about a totally different war than what it asked for on the last LEQ {I though that the Seven Years’ War and the War of 1812 were the same thing…I was so wrong…} and I’m glad they didn’t nail me too terribly hard for that.)
Overall very pleased: shocked by AP Chemistry and AP Physics 1, and still kicking myself over my laughable essay over a different war on US History, but happy nonetheless.
Perhaps from a prior year? I definitely didn’t get mine until late summer.
Environmental-5
Psych-5

A little disappointed for AP Lang, but overall really happy! Good job everyone!
World History - 4 (happy because I studied a ton for this exam, but after I took it I honestly thought I got a 2)
3 on Chem & Calc AB
4 on Lit & Environmental
5 on Studio
The Chem exam was brutal! Wasn’t even sure if I was going to pass!
Gov: 5
Calc AB: 4

Physics 1: 2 (not surprised lol)
I did better than I did on the mock exams for gov calc & lit so I’m happy lol good job everyone!
