Supposedly, many medical schools look down on CCs and do not like it if an applicant took all BCPM (see https://students-residents.aamc.org/applying-medical-school/article/course-classification-guide/ ) courses at CCs. Of course, if the student majors in a BCPM subject after transferring, s/he will have upper division BCPM courses at the four year school. A non-BCPM major could take some BCPM courses after transfer at the four year school if that is a concern.
