So how long does it take to get a decision after receiving the ability to benefit thing…?
If we get rejected after submitting a spring grade request, can we appeal??
Yea u can appeal
@daramz ooo do you know how? I cant seem to find any information on this on the usc website
I’ve forgotten where but pretty sure u can
@eoverland my portal updated this morning with my acceptance letter
anyone accepted as sociology major yet??
How long do we have to wait to sign up for orientation? I just paid my enrollment deposit.
ACCEPTED: fall 2016 for political science, my portal just updated with my admission decision this morning!!
Stats: 3.8 with 32 credits from NYU, good extracurriculars, decent essays
@mr.transfer Did they notify you of how much financial aid you’re receiving at the same time they accept you? Thank you
If we get rejected does it come up on the portal or do we have to wait for it to come in the mail?
I GOT an eligibility checks notification!!!YAY!!!
guys I have one question!!!. When I clicked the required&forms, they requires verification of high school graduation or recognized equivalent. That means that I need to turn my high school transcript??
@ntbyooo congrats! And I don’t think so. Others who have gotten it says the notification goes away after a while. I think it’s a glitch in the system or something b/c we all submitted our HS transcripts when we applied. If mine doesn’t clear I’m gonna call the financial aid office later.
@pomeranian4rich I agree with @CaliforniaUSC … I most definitely wouldn’t give up yet, I too was told by my counselor that EC’s really didn’t play an impact, and that it’s basically all GPA and some essay.
@uschopefulll It shows up on the portal. It took like 2 weeks after I saw it on my portal to get the sad small white envelope saying I was rejected.
@uscmarshallbound Not to answer for @mr.transfer, but nope, you need to wait a couple of business days
They don’t tell you at the same time of your acceptance.
@fan82372 There is no formal appeal process similar to what UCLA has. You basically just email your admissions counselor an appeal letter and they forward it to appeals on your behalf - that’s it. It sorta sucks because it was hard to keep track of how it was going.
@xerxes96 did you apply for fafsa AND css? and congrats!
Has anyone gotten an Ability to Benefit Verification Required message on their thing and not been accepted or is that just a standard message
@uscmarshallbound no I haven’t received my financial aid package, its still under review.
@pomeranian4rich yes i applied for both! Sent in my css a little late
@daRamz everyone who has gotten that message has been accepted so far.
