2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@Uscorbust2017 lol nice username, it applies to me as well.

@Uscorbust2017 That’s genius lol. I should’ve done that!

Long time lurker… finally posting! Marshall applicant and stillllll waiting. Dad is an alum, 3 letters of rec, gpa is fairly average due to a poor start in my academic career about 4 years ago… however, my extracurriculars are pretty outstanding as I own my business that has moved over 300k in product, assistant manager of another business, I have interned at a major digital media company… webmaster; creating websites since I was 14 years old that were monitized and made plenty of cash… sold apps that I created on the iPhone market, etc etc etc. Will keep you guys updated if I hear anything. I’m really nervous this year… I believe I need another year under my belt to get my GPA even higher. I think I’ll be the perfect example on this forum to prove that extra curriculars can’t always save you… but I’ll let ya know!

It seemed pretty obvious for me… especially since I felt it applied to myself… I have been at a juco now for almost over 4 years because I took a break and came back… I was very unmotivated my first 2 years and spoke to these challenges in my application. “Fighting on” through all of this and using it as my hashtag just made sense :stuck_out_tongue:

@F0shizleMynizzle SInce you are applying to be a sophomore, they do in fact take into consideration your HS grades, and since it seems like your GPA from high school is on the lower side, your best bet is to make it up with your CC courses. Also you can always apply next year where you will have 30+ units, if you’re concerned that HS grades and SAT’s will be a detriment to transferring. (They don’t look at HS graddes past 30 units)

@Skepta I love it!

Just got my SGR–Marshalls sophomore applicant!!

@Elco2USC Congratulations!

Got into University of Maryland but I’m really hoping to get into USC. Dornsife - International Relations! International applicant, 3.6 cgpa and was involved in a lot of humanitarian aid activities. UMD’s acceptance deadline is coming up but I really want USC!! :((

also, the hashtag part was really funny. I was so tempted to write #JokeOfTheYear

Just to clarify, if you get accepted as TTP your overall Gpa cannot go below a 3.5 correct? Or is it your semester gpa that can’t go below a 3.5?

Question for Marshall applicants. Can you transfer credit to fulfill the business core requirements (for example, a finance course in a 4 yr uni will fulfill the business finance requirement), or will that course transfer as an elective credit?

Dorsife junior applicant here, majoring in psychology. Haven’t heard a word. Just praying! :slight_smile:

I have something coming from USC today on my usps! Hoping its good news!!

How long after you submit spring grades until you hear back? I finished my semester two weeks ago, so I sent my grades over immediately after I received the request.

@JKT2BOS I believe you will have to take Finance at USC. Looking at 4 year articulation histories, I don’t see any finance class being the equivalent to BUAD 306

Good luck @roborob77 ! I am sure you’re going to get your acceptance today. congrats.

@flaherty I am! Have you heard anything back from Roski yet??

@tankle104 thank you! i hope so.
