2017 - 2018 USC Transfer

@AGoodFloridian @usc2563 Thank you for your words of encouragement. A lot of things are going through my head right now. I am finding a lot of pros over cons of staying and not transferring.

@stahboy There’s nothing particularly wrong with that- just remember the reasons you chose to transfer in the first place. Heck, it seems silly but write them down, along with the reasons you’re coming up with to stay. Make an informed decision, because one thing is for certain, a lot is going to change once you receive a USC’s decision in a week or two from now.

If it’s good news, give it a day or two for the excitement to settle down, and then make your decision.

is anyone else starting to just not care and make alternative plans?

@gatsby22 I submitted the last of my documentation on Monday, so I’m not surprised. They say processing takes three to five business days.

@AGoodFloridian

USC requires students complete 64 credits there to graduate & take a 54 max w/no minimum. Considering USC may not take all your credits, it just depends on your particular classes & credits they accept. Don’t worry about the 80+ other people have. Its easy to do, My sister transferred in as a Jr w/no break from hs/80 credits. Didn’t kill herself - took 5 classes per sem, had two HS ap credits & one summer class after hs & freshman yr. She had friends who transferred in with less than 30 credits too.

She’s graduating tomorrow, has 5 job offers, Trojan network has been amazing w/her job search, - one offer $90k plus annual bonus. Basically 6 figure job right out of college. So it’s worth it …good luck to everyone

Me I’m waiting to see if I’ll get accepted.

I’m just worried because there hasn’t been anything from Dornsife for a while…

@SmokedHam i definitely still care but I’m getting frustrated

@5nonnegotiables Impressive – may I ask what she majored in?

they say that good things come to those who wait…fellow annenberg applicants, we’re in for a treat…hopefully…fingers crossed…just a few more days!

@5nonnegotiables My god, that is amazing! What an inspiration she must be to her colleagues and, most importantly, to you :slight_smile:

I’ve heard many encouraging stories about the networking present at USC, and I’m sure it’s one of the strongest factors in many students’ decision to apply!

@SmokedHam did you apply to SDA?

@Amaryllis85 polisci, but the $90k is for a business analyst job

@AGoodFloridian I mean I think it’s great but I think if you want it and go after it, it’s pretty normal at USC, from what I’ve heard from her. She says the network is strong and USC alumni go out of their way to help.

Did I miss it or has there not been a huge ‘batch’ of acceptances on this thread that came together. They feel very spotty this year (of course, this depends on what/who post… but still)

Hi everyone.

Just thought I’d chime in as a USC alum who transfered to USC from Moorpark College because my best friend is currently awaiting his own transfer decision and I’ve been poking around this forum today (I suddenly remembered about this website… trust me, you forget about it the moment you step onto campus) to see if decisions have come out.

I applied as an undecided transfer in 2012 after one year at Moorpark CC. Everyone around me was getting their decisions and I actually did not get mine until June 4th. At the time I was convinced I had been rejected. I actually went on vacation to Hawaii and it was there that my family called me to say that a large envelope arrived from USC. I received my financial aid (USC was extremely generous to me) the next day on the portal.

I just wanted to wish you guys good luck and know that everyone gets a decisions at a different time… so try not to panic. And if its not USC, your destiny belongs to another school. It won’t be the end of the world.

All the best!
Fight on!
Class of 2015

@mellyjune honestly feel the same way. It’s been so sporadic this year compared to previous threads dating back to 2013…

JUST GOT ADMITTED INTO MARSHALL!!! Letter was dated May 10th. FREAKING SPEECHLESS AND SO DAMN HAPPY.

@AtoTransfer congrats!

@skysmom yes I did! did you?!! :slight_smile:

@SmokedHam my daughter applied as a sophomore transfer from PCC. You’re the first SDA poster I’ve seen on this thread. She has not heard back anything at all. Have you heard of anyone getting accepted into SDA yet? She’s about to lose her mind, lol…

@skysmom I haven’t heard anything from anyone else applying for the SDA. I’m applying to begin as a junior. I have heard back from the school, they only requested to send an additional financial aid form last week. I’m struggling to keep hope alive at the moment and have began planning alternative options. :confused:
