Has anyone else’s looked like this? It doesn’t say it’s shipping from USC specifically. I live on the east coast.
Not to sound entitled to get an SGR or an acceptance, but by this spring I would have completed all my major reqs, the buisness calc req (Econ), and 6/8 GEs. I don’t know what more they would want.
I got an SGR and uploaded my unofficial transcript through the portal, but under “Submit application documents” it still says it’s required for me to upload my transcript. Does anyone know why this could be?
Update: After some research, PSI SYSTEMS is apparently a generic name used when senders use a paid service. Also, because my package hasn’t departed from the location (LA) yet, USPS notified me of a pre-shipment.

@itslife123 , nothing that’s unusual, I think it just said to keep up my academic performance or something along those lines. Nothing specific, like maintaining GPA etc.

@pantafootball2 for PMD or FA at Merrill Lynch, the job satisfaction is pretty low due to ML’s expectations. There are lots of forums and articles written about the negatives of Merrill Lynch. The main being how they raised the minimum account size from $100,000 to $250,000. It means if you are able to persuade a client who’s willing to invest 200K, you will not be compensated in commission because it’s under 250K (there’s more info if you read the fine print of the requirements) . Essentially, anyone new to the field will likely struggle whereas a seasoned person knows leads and people who have more than $250K to invest. That is by no means an easy thing to do, but a select group of people are able to get leads like that. For the rest who don’t make the cut, the industry is likely to chew them up and spit them out. As for commercial real estate, that seems more reasonable because areas like Los Angeles are abundant in commercial property and home to big real estate firms. This to me seems more viable as you receive commission for high value commercial properties (I intern with a commercial property owner. I also know one residential realtor and a commercial realtor from SC). The only negative part in this industry is that when the market hurts you hurt. Also some of these big firms will take a bigger split of your commissions if you’re new. Lastly, like any industry, you are competing with a lot of seasoned realtors who know the business and the disparity between the most successful and average is significant. That’s not to say you won’t be able to succeed with hard work and a solid education.

@AGoodFloridian The majority of Viterbi always seems to hear back on the 23rd ish, In my case I seem to be a minority. Btw I’m at work and I’m gonna be studying so I won’t be able to see my package until later tonight (anxious about my conditions of acceptance)
