@penntousc tagging on to your response, was Sunday’s portal update at a specific time (i.e. midnight) or was it random? (trying to decipher whether it’s worth it to keep refreshing the portal throughout the day, or whether once is enough)
@fiddleleaf123 I hear ya. This has been the longest wait of my life. At least you received a grade request though, which means they’re looking at your application. At least that is good to know. Are you a sophomore or junior applicant? I’d be a junior, I believe, but just barely. I’ll have 61 units completed by spring.
Accepted- Physics (2nd choice)- Soph transfer / 3.7GPA 28 ACT/ military veteran
Has anyone in Texas gotten accepted? If so, how long did it take for the package to make it to your house?
@haysunshine I’m not sure, I think I logged in around 8 or 9am est and saw it so idk for sure
How often does an SGR just update to an acceptance randomly?
@kgallagher im a vet as well. did you get a package or did the VRC contact you?
@angeleno13 I haven’t heard anything yet. Technically, the deadline for them to notify us is next Thursday (June 1st) so there’s still time. If I haven’t gotten anything by them I’m just going to call my admissions counselor.
@getoutofhere what do you mean by states? Does anybody know where I can go to make sure my classes will transfer before I accept my decision?
Have any Poly Sci majors gotten news yet?
Do you guys know anyone who’s been rejected so far?
@roxy22 They haven’t sent rejections out yet. Will probably do so on June 1st.
@ashurikko @snailpoop OASIS? Is that not a tab found in myUSC? Accepted students who have registered for their net USC ID, and successfully logged into myUSC portal should have access to that tab. I’m an admitted student and can’t access the main OASIS login page where it asks for your 10 digit USC ID and DOB. At the top of this page it says “If you have a working USC email account, please visit MyUSC to access OASIS directly”. Through the latter method, I have access to OASIS.
@zettasyntax I am not sure if someone asked this but did you SIR to UCLA and USC at the same time?
Why would they send rejections last? That’s just so cruel.
@Roxy22 , why is that cruel? If there had been rejections mixed in with all of the acceptances received so far, it’d be a Russian-Admission Roulette going on over here. For the lucky few(?) who’ve been receiving decisions so far, they can find peace knowing that it is for sure an acceptance.
When July 1st comes, the band aid is ripped off. Acceptances and Rejections all at once- lights out.
I don’t necessarily think it’s cruel either. It’s just that other systems seem to release all decisions at once and I’ve already said my piece on why I wish USC did that. The wait really sucks, but it just makes sense for rejections to happen at the very end.
Any TTPs who haven’t heard yet? I’ve never been this stressed in my life.
Received a very generous financial aid package today. I was super stressed because many people seemed to be receiving a lot less than expected! Hopefully this will relieve a bit of stress for others still waiting.
Well this is nerve-wracking. I know USC requested me to send out my High School and CC transcripts from ELAC & LACC last month and I’ve also completed my paperwork for Financial Aid as well. I’m not sure if I should check. I’m terrified. I feel like I have no chance with a 3.22 CSU GPA. Lord have mercy.
